The lock pin works.
The blade is repurposed from an antique Samurai Sword from the Edo period.
At first glance it looks like a Ryukushiki GUNTO, but it appears to be a Type 98 Scabbard with a leather cover over it.
The base of the hanging ring and the shape of the Semegane can be seen through the leather.
