Komori Katsuyuki was the official swordsmith for the Japanese Army and made the WWII GUNTO swords.
The Tang has his signature and a Seki Stamp(関刻印).
This is proof that the blade has passed the military's strict quality inspection.
The Scabbard is made of iron and the locking pin works without any problems.
