Ryakushiki GUNTO, Komori Katsuyuki signed, 関 Stamp, Very Heavy blade
WW2 Original Japanese Army Officer Sword, 1944-1945.
It is a standard size for a GUNTO sword, but it is very sturdy and heavy.
It was made by Komori Katsuyuki, a swordsmith exclusively employed by the Army.
The character "関" is engraved on the tang as proof that it passed the military's quality inspection.
This blade is not mass-produced in a factory, but made using traditional methods.
The manufacturing control number is written in white paint at the end of the tang.
