The signature is hard to read, but it is believed to be by Noshusekiju Ichimonji Amahide.
There is a stamp at the end of the Tang.
The inside of the Hamon has a wavy pattern, which suggests that it was made with great care.
The fine brass Fuchikashira has a waterfowl design.
A copper Tsuba of an unusual style is included.
