Kanetane was a swordsmith active in Mino during the late Muromachi period.
The scabbard is a rare Ishimochisaya (石首魚鞘),
with fish bones used in the decoration.
The Kozuka with its turtle design is interesting.
NBTHK certificate included.
There is a crack on the side of the scabbard, see pictures.
