JUMONJI-YARI □州住成□作 Signed, Late Muromachi period
A type of Yari with a unique and fearsome shape, the Jumonji-Yari. Its silhouette is rare even when viewed globally.
It was capable of attacking by thrusting, cutting, and pulling.
It was also used to target horses' legs and knock them off their horses. It is in very good condition.
It has Suguha Hamon burned into it, and is a surprisingly delicate Jigane. It must have been made with great care.
Tang is signed, but it is difficult to read in places.
It is likely a work from the late Muromachi period or early Edo period.
