GAKUMEI 額銘 Sukenobu 助延 signed Wakizashi, Muromachi period

A rare Gakumei Wakizashi.
Normally, when you osuriage, the signature disappears.

In this work, only the signature was cut out and transplanted to the Tang that was osuriaged.
This kind of measure is rarely taken to preserve the original signature for future generations.

This is called Gakumei(額銘).
