Fukuda Sukemitsu signed GUNTO, 関 Stamp, Wide and Heavy blade, Army Combat Sword
Late WWII 1945-1945, Ryukushiki-GUNTO.
Fukuda Sukemitsu was a swordsmith in the early Showa period, and he also made blades for GUNTO.
Above his signature you can see the Seki Stamp.
This is proof that the sword passed the military's strict quality inspection.
The blade is wide, very heavy, and solidly built.
The exterior is damaged, probably because it was used in combat.
