This katana is estimated to date from the late Kamakura period to the Nanbokucho period (approximately 650 to 700 years ago).
Uda refers to the swordsmiths who were active in Echizen, and the oldest of these are called Ko-Uda.
The blade remains long and wide, and has been passed down to the present day.
